pharmacy law

For decades our firm has represented and advised pharmacies, pharmacists and manufacturers in administrative matters before the California Board of Pharmacy and Office of Administrative Hearings. Our pharmaceutical practice includes representing entities within the pharmaceutical industry, such as self funded health care plans and manufacturers, in contract related disputes. We also represent and advises pharmacies and pharmacists in a range of matters pertaining to claims of negligence or malpractice, wrongful medical record disclosure, and side effects of prescription and over-the-counter medication. The firm has handled pharmacy cases throughout the country and served as national counsel to various pharmacy chains in litigation involving Quinine, Baycol, PPA, Rezulin, Serzon, Kava Kava and Ginseng, among many others.  In addition, the firm has served as liaison counsel for retailers in several state and federal coordinated multi-district litigation proceedings and has long represented pharmacy retailers in Celebrex/Bextra matters in federal court.

Our firm is one of the few in the country with a practice devoted to pharmacy law.  The firm's attorneys are members of the American Society of Pharmacy Law ("ASPL") and are committed to staying apprised of new developments in the fields of pharmacy and pharmaceutical law.  Attorneys from our firm have spoken at numerous pharmacy law seminars and conferences for the ASPL and National Association of Chain Drug Stores.  Also, the firm conducts seminars for its clients that focus on relevant issues in pharmacy law.

A California Superior Court Judge has confirmed that out-of-state attorneys may not represent respondents in Administrative Law matters before the Board of Pharmacy.  We've been representing clients in Board of Pharmacy matters for more than two decades.  At the client's request, we are happy to work with out-of-state attorneys to coordinate defenses.
